DUNCAN FALLS -- Marie Blanche Fye, 97, of Blue Rock, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2005, at Country Care, Blue Rock.
She was born Sept. 22, 1907, in Brush Creek Township, the daughter of the late Oliver and Blanche French Pletcher. She was a homemaker and she was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Philo.
Surviving her are a son, Lawrence and Janice Fye of South Zanesville; a daughter, Melodie Munyan of Zanesville; six grandchildren, Rick and Phyllis Goldsmith, Beverly and Steve Dunn, Michael Fye, Annette and Bill Mizer, Diana Munyan and Shawn and Debbie Munyan; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandaughter; and special friends, Margie and Bob Dustman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband, Berton Fye, who passed away Jan 29, 1992; her daughter, Yvonne Newland; a sister, Opal Thompson; and a granddaughter, Connie Fye Rothe.
Calling hours will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, March 14, at Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main St., Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2005, with Pastor John Czarnota officiating. Burial will be in Stovertown Cemetery.
