Howard "Buster" Platt Sr., 85, of Lexington, formerly of Versailles, husband of Clara Platt, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at VA Medical Center, Lexington.
Born in Lexington Dec. 16, 1914, he was the son of the late Stanley and Bessie Ramsey Platt. He was a member of the Christian Church, and was the former owner-operator of Jim Ramsey Sign Company, Lexington. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Wayne L. Platt, Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Margaret Schansberg, Louisville; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A son, Howard "Bus" Platt Jr., is deceased.
Graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, in the Versailles Cemetery by the Rev. Randy Nation. Duell-Clark Funeral Chapel, Versailles, was in charge of arrangements.
