THE DEATH OF CLELLA PLATT - Clella Platt, 82, of 8951 C. County road 725 E., Lafayette, died at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday in Home Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past six years. Born in Clarks Hill, May 24, 1905, she was educated at Clarks Hill School and had lived in Lauramie Township all of her life. Her marriage was June 2, 1923, in Mulberry to Raymond L. Platt, who is a farmer. She was a member of Stockwell United Methodist church and a former member of the United Methodist Women of the church and the Home Ec. Club. Surviving with the husband are four daughters, Mrs. Byron (Mildred) McDole of Lafayette, Mrs. Charles (Rosemary) Carlson and Mrs. John (Phyllis) Jackson, both of Merritt Island, Fla., and Mrs. David (Sharon) Need of Frankfort; one son, Gerald Platt of Stockwell; and a sister Mrs. Lloyd (Cleo) Platt of Frankfort. Friends may call at Landis-Loy Stockwell Chapel, 5-8 p.m. Friday. Service there 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. jack Williams officiating. Interment Johnson Cemetery, Stockwell. Surviving are 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, 2 brothers preceded in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stockwell United Methodist church building fund.
