Anne of York was the seventh child and fifth daughter of Edward IV, King of England, and his queen Elizabeth Woodville.
She was born in the Palace of Westminster, London.
Anne was married to Thomas Howard, 2nd Earl of Surrey, 3rd Duke of Norfolk on Feb. 4 1494. Thomas, at the time, was the eldest son and heir of Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk, by his first wife, Elizabeth Tilney. They were known to have one son, Thomas Howard, that died at about the age of 12, in 1508.
Anne died in 1511 and was buried at Thetford Priory.
She was relocated, along with other Howards, to the large aisle chancel of the Church of St Michael the Archangel, Framlingham.
Her husband, following her death, later married Elizabeth Stafford, daughter of Edward Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham and Alianore Percy.
