Ashland - H. Jean Flory,81, of Ashland, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at Samaritan Regional Health Systems, following a short illiness.
Services will be held Monday at 10AM at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church, 1234 Township Road 523, Ashland, with Pastor Sanford Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at Red Haw Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 PM at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad Street, Ashland, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church, 1234 Township Road 523, Ashland, 44805.
She was born Feb 23, 1921, in Ashland County to Arlin W and M Elizabeth "Betty" (Nelson) Plank and married Jacob J Flory on Aug 3, 1941. He died in 1964. She was a 1938 graduate of Ashland High School.
She had been a resident of Ashland County all of her life and was a homemaker and baby sitter.
She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church, Church Women United and the Ashland Historical Society.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law James R and Carol J Flory and Jerry D Flory all of Ashland; a daughter and son-in-law , Janet L and Norman R Dria of Sullivan,; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a sister Margaret Shelly of California.
