Jessie Louise Place, DAR Member, was the daughter of Chauncey Clark Place & Caroline E. Rice. She married 5 Jan. 1916 in Oswego, Oswego Co. N.Y., Edwin Goode Cheatham. They resided Portsmouth, Norfolk Co. Va. 1920. After Edwin's death in 1923, Louise resided in St. Petersburg, Pinellas Co. Fl. 1930.

She was the widow of Edwin Cheatham and was a member of the staff of Karpinski's laundry. Surviving Mrs. Cheatham is a niece, Miss Doris Place, a teacher in Vernon. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 pm at the Barnes Funeral Home, with interment in Rural Cemetery. The Rev. A.S. Lowrie pastor of the West Baptist church will be in charge of the services (Published in Oswego Palladium Times).
