Mary Ellen Pixley Shoaff was born on February 7, 1844 and died on December 25, 1921.
Her parents were William and Laura Pixley of Wabash County. She was the youngest of nine. She married Ross Shoaff on December 9, 1874, at Friendsville, Illinois. He died June 28, 1919. Mary Ellen died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Phillip King, at Golden Gate. Also, leaves another girl, Maggie E. Severns of E. St. Louis, and three grandsons, Herbert, Earnest and Arthur Phar. Buried at Friendsville.
