Died October 23, 1989, Lucy Pitts Ayers, 82, of Ashland, formerly of Upper Zion, Caroline County, and widow of Julian Blankenship Ayers. She is survived by two sons, William B. "Ben" Ayers of Maryland, George S. "Froggie" Ayers of Richmond; two daughters, Juliette A. "Polly" Buchanan of Beaverdam and Marilyn A. Patrick, of Ashland; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Reid Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, where services will be held Wednesday at 2 P.M.
