Mary Josephine Michael, 93, of Fort Scott died Monday afternoon, March 5, 2012, at home. She was born Oct. 16, 1918, in Bourbon County, Kan., the daughter of Arthur Harrison "Harry" and Nola Easter (Inman) Pitts. She married Charles Orlando Michael Sept. 17, 1938, in Fort Scott, Kan. He preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1985. In addition to her husband, Josephine was also preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Edward Lusk, James A. Pitts, John A. Pitts, Harold L. Pitts, David Lusk, and an infant brother, Joseph Eldon Pitts; two sisters, Helen Hood and Grace Buford; and a grandson.
