Services for Lorene Essie Butler, 88, Canton, wre held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton, with Bro. Larry Page, Bro. David Bell and Jonathan Brown officiating. Burial was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Butler died Sept. 11, 2000, in Canton. She was born Dec. 12, 1911 in Antlers, Okla. to the late Silas and Maude Dixon Pittman. She grew up in the Canton and Wills Point area. She was a homemaker. She was one of the original staff members of Malouf Manufacturing Company, where she worked for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Butler, and sisters Princie Pittman Creed, Allyne Venable and Jocile Hall. Survivors include daughter, Charlotte Butler, Athens; grandson and his wife, Jonathan and Jessica Brown, Fort Worth; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
