Birth: Aug. 24, 1880

Georgia, USA
Death: Oct. 25, 1934

Awtry Wells Pittman, born on 24 August 1880, was the son of Albert Singleton and Sarah Jane (Pope) Pittman. He was born, lived and died in Cobb County, Georgia.

According to his WWI draft registration card, he was tall with medium build. He had brown eyes and brown hair. There are various documents which spell his name as "Aubrey", "Autrey" and "Awtrey", the death index and draft list it as "Awtry" (he signed the latter document as "Awtry Wells Pittman").

Awtry earned a living by farming. He never married. The draft registration card indicates the farm was on RFD 2, Austell, Cobb, Georgia. The 1920 and 1930 census documents list the farm as located on the Douglasville-Atlanta Road and North River Road, respectively.
