Emma June Howell was the daughter of Michael Sylvester and Elizabeth (Redwine) Howell. She was born on 20 Aug 1850 and appears with the family in the 1850 and 1860 U.S. Census documents for Cobb and Campbell counties, respectively.
Emma married George Washington Pittman on 19 Nov 1868 in Cobb County (See bio on FAG memorial #10740542). They had at least 8 children by this marriage:

Emma died in Cobb County on 4 May 1895 at the age of 45, leaving George to raise their younger children. She is buried near her grandfather Isaac Howell and three of her children. Her parents Rene Marion and Mary Anne Howell Pittman are buried in The Howell Family Cemetery.
