He was the son of Spencer and Barbara Wafful Pitcher.
On June 23, 1903, he married Charlotte Rose Green in West Leyden. She died in January 1938.

BOONVILLE - LeRoy S. Pitcher, 68, lifelong resident of this section, died Tuesday morning in Faxton Hospital, Utica, where he underwent an operation, Monday.
He was born Feb. 2, 1878, in Ava, a son of the late Clark and Martha A. Jones Pitcher.
His younger life was spent in Ava. He attended Boonville High School and for several years he taught in the rural schools. For over forty years he conducted a shoe store in Boonville, retiring, a few years ago.
He was also interested in trotting horses of some years.
On June 23, 1903, he was married to Miss Charlotte R. Green. She died Dec. 28, 1937. The only survivors are several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be made in Boonville Cemetery. Boonville Herald, Thursday, October 19, 1944
