Nancy Lee Pinchot, 77, of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday evening, Dec. 7, 2011, at the Jersey Shore hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Helvetia, Pa., on May 4, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Alice Crooks Powell.

Nancy was married to Lawrence (Larry) Pinchot on Sept. 15, 1956, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

She was a member of St. Luke's Catholic church.

Nancy retired in 1995 after 28 years of service at the Divine Providence Hospital and had worked prior for Sylvania for five years.

She graduated from Brady Township High School in 1952.

Nancy was a Brownie Den mother for a number of years and a softball coach for all four of her daughters.

She enjoyed square dancing and was very active with all her children's activities.

Nancy loved cats and had an extensive stuffed animal collection.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Debra Pinchot of Marienville, Pa., Mrs. John (Barbara) Helminiak of Williamsport, Mrs. John (Linda) Kaniecki of Abingdon, Md., and Mrs. Scott (Cindy) Stiffler of Picture Rocks; a son, Richard Pinchot and wife Alicia of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Morgan, Kane, Zachary, Ben and Noah; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Chesney and Wyatt; also a sister, Margaret Archibald of Texas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Susquehanna Health Cancer Center, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at the St. Luke's Catholic Church, 120 Kendall Ave., Jersey Shore, with Rev. Bert Kozen celebrant. A visitation will be held Sunday from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home", 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Jersey Shore cemetery.
