CENTER - Dale Daviette LaRue, 91, of Center, passed away at 1:21 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at Westview Nursing Home in Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the First United Methodist Church in Center, with the Rev. Dan Peters officiating. Burial will be at Norton Cemetery, rural Center.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Center.
Mrs. LaRue was born July 26, 1916, in Camp Point, Ill., the daughter of William Theodore and Mary Nellie Opal Davis Pilcher.
She was married to Russell Lee LaRue on June 26, 1935, in Hannibal, and he preceded her in death Sept. 29, 1999.
Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Shirley Thimmesch of Wichita, Kan., and Eileen and Robert Anderson, Cheryle and Dale Brown, and Beverly and Larry Hildebrand, all of Center; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Trula Thomas; and one stepsister, Gladys Tibbetts.
Mrs. LaRue was a lifetime area resident, homemaker, and member of the First Methodist Church in Center. She was a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting and crocheting.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Methodist Church of Center.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Anderson, Randy Anderson, Jeff Brown, Bob Thimmesch, Steve Hildebrand and Kenny Hildebrand.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Thimmesch, Jim Brown and Tom Thimmesch.
