She was born June 15, 1925, in Ozark, Ala., a daughter of the late Elzie and Mert Cain Pilcher. She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irwin, where she was a eucharistic minister and a member of the funeral choir and the former Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Betty was also a volunteer at Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children in Greensburg for 30 years.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 56 years, Anthony Abramovic; the following children: Joelle at home, A. Mark Abramovic and his wife, Romaine, of Mantoloking, N.J., Kathleen Sokol and her husband, John, of Marlton, N.J., and Roger Abramovic and his wife, Nancy, of Irwin; seven grandchildren, Jenness and Marissa Abramovic, Elana Sielman, Kristy Murphy, Caroline Sokol, John and Julie Abramovic; five great-granddaughters; five brothers, Fred, Bill, Harvey, Howard and Frank Pilcher, and a sister, Margaret Hurston, all of Pensacola, Fla.
Friends will be received at the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 504 Oak St., Irwin, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will follow in the Irwin Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children, RR9, Box 607, Greensburg, PA 15601-9231.
