Eleanor M. (Pigeon) Phillips, 95, Green Bay, passed away at home with her family, Sept. 2, 2011, the first Friday of the month, which is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom she so loved and had a deep devotion. Born on Dec. 20, 1915, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Peter and Agnes (Simons) Pigeon. Eleanor married Thomas Delos Phillips on July 13, 1942, in Biloxi, Miss., and he preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1993, after 51 years of marriage. She was a life-long member of SS. Peter and Paul Parish, enjoyed watching EWTN and had a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Divine Mercy. Eleanor loved watching the Packers, and enjoyed her coffee and chocolate. She spent most of her adult life caring for her family and would always wear her warm, big smile. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved and was devoted to her family.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Donna Phillips and John Phillips and Pat Schroeder, two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary and Norbert Wojkiewicz and Theresa Phillips, her care giver, all of Green Bay; six grandchildren, Ken (Betsy), Christopher, Eric, Matthew, Andrea (Mike) and Dion; four great-grandchildren, Victoria, Olivia, Mason and Miles; two brothers, Robert and Clem Pigeon, both of Green Bay; one sister, Rita Martell, Wausau; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Also preceded in death by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond, Norman (Catherine), James (Helen) and Gertrude Pigeon; four sisters, Sr. Marie Pigeon, OP, Kathleen Meyhoff, and infants, Cecelia and Mildred Pigeon; and brother-in-law, Norman Martell.

Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Wednesday, 11 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Church with Rev. Anthony V. Cirigani, OFM officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
