Margaret Eileen Barnett, 82, of Michigantown, died Monday, April 16, 2007, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born in Frankfort on Aug. 8, 1924, she was the daughter of Ella Mae (Hobbs) Pierce and Arthur Eller. She married Donald D. Barnett in 1942; he died Feb. 6, 1987.
She graduated from Michigantown High School and lived in Clinton County all her life. She was district supervisor for the F.W. Woolworth Co. for 28 years, and was then associated with County Line Egg Co. for 17 years.
A member of the Logansport VFW Auxiliary, she traveled, played the bass and drove the limo with the Freddie Shaffer all-girl band for two years. She took pride in her home and yard, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors are children and spouses Donald and Janet Barnett of Lebanon, Lary and Rita Barnett, Michael and Chris Barnett and Marsha and Tom Selke, all of Frankfort, Barbara and Jerry Bias of Texas and Nancy and Kenton Colby of Geetingsville; brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Rosie Eller of Elwood and Phillip and Mary Eller of Bradenton; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A son, William, is deceased.
