Ruth met the love of her life, Lester Hardy, and they were married in 1946. Children soon followed and Ruth was a wonderful, loving and caring mom to Clint, Tom, Lynn, Lance, Kathy, Rob, and Bill. Our mom was the center of our family and will dearly be missed. She was a very religious person who kept us on the straight and narrow. She loved going to church, saying the rosary, watching old westerns. She loved talking and spending time with her brothers Don and Ray and sisters Bulah, Maxine, Shirley, and Mary. She loved teasing them, that each one was "her favorite." She enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and their families and loved them dearly. She had many of her children's friends from over the years that she loved as well. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Virginia Pickett, her husband Lester and son Lance then later, her sister Shirley Carney. Ruth is survived by siblings Bulah, Maxine, Don, Ray, and Mary. She is survived by her children Clint, Tom, Lynn, Rob, and Bill and daughter Kathy all of Chico.
