George B. Pickett III, three-year old son of Lt. Col. and Mrs. George B. Pickett Jr, Tokyo, was killed when he was struck by a car in Tokyo June 16, friends of the family reported here yesterday.
Colonel Pickett was reared in Montgomery. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Pickett Sr., Montgomery.”
George was originally buried in International Cemetery #7, Yokohama, Japan on June 23, 1952. His family had him moved to Arlington Cemetery where he was reinterred on March 12, 1953. Records show that plots were reserved for his parents but they were subsequently buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Alabama.
