Phillips Allen, 67, entered into rest at 11:40 a.m. Sunday, October 25, 1942, at her home near Wrens, Georgia after an illness of three days. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at the Reedy Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. T.C. Burrell officiating. Interment will be in the churchyard cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roscoe Rooks, Collins Usry, A.H. Beckum, R.L. McNair, W.T. Howard and Thomas Linnenkohl. Mrs. Allen, who was a devout member of the Reedy Creek church was reared in this section and had lived her all her life. The deceased is survived by her husband, Sam Allen; five sons, Lee Allen, Eugene Allen, Milo Allen, Albert Allen, all of Wrens, and Floyd Allen of Avera, Ga.; four daughters, Mrs. Clinton Rogers of Stapleton, Mrs. John Robert Clemons of Wrens, Mrs. Pierce Hobbs of Thomson, and Mrs. Everett Usry of Wrens; two brothers, Henry Phillips of Wrens, and M.F. Phillips of Augusta; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Wren and Mrs. Macy Johnson of Wrens, and 26 grandchildren. Wilson Funeral Home. Family links: Parents: William F.
