Graveside services for Kennith Mellard Phillips, 68, of Lubbock will be 2 p.m. Monday at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton with Rev. Randal Thorne officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Richard Calvillo and Calvillo Funeral Home staff.

Kenneth passed away Thursday. He was born January 20, 1941 in Slaton to late Mellard and Cloata Phillips. He married Evelyn C. Allen on June 17, 2004 in Lubbock. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Lubbock. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn C. Phillips of Lubbock; six sons, Jaime and Bill Phillips of Lubbock, David, Danny, Dennis, and Dickey Caudill of Lubbock; four daughters, Vicky Holding and Pamela Lawrence of Colorado, Cathy and husband Donald Kelley of Lubbock, and Misty Thorton of Athens, Texas; four sisters, Cate Wiseman and Pauline Martin, both of Houston, Joyce Ann Brannen of Belton, and Vivian McClaran of Petersburg; a special grandson, Kristian Marchington of Hobbs, N.M.; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
