David Phillips, aged 28 years, son of Mr. and Mrs Edward Phillips of 150 South Sherman street was killed in Buffalo on Sunday morning. He was employed by the Lackawanna Steel Works in that city and his life was crushed out by one of the big machines falling on him. Deceased resided in this city up to within two years ago. Besides his father and mother he is survived by two brothers and a sister: Edward, a telegrapher of Rochester. N. Y., Jenkin, at home and Margaret, a nurse in one of the hospitals in Scranton. His brother, Edward, went to Buffalo and will accompany the remains to this city.
While residing in this city he attended the Puritan Congregational Church. He was also a member of the Sons of Liberty Lodge, No. 1103, I. O. O. F., of the Heights. The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 from the Puritan Congregational Church, South Sherman street. Rev. E. J. Morris will officiate.
