James A. Phillips
ADA, Feb. 3 - James A. Phillips, 75, resident of Ada for the past 30 years, died Wednesday at 3:45 a.m. at his home 714 S. Main-st, after an illness of two years.
He was a retired carpenter and hardware clerk. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth L. Phillips; three daughters, Miss Mary C. Phillips of Columbus, Mrs. Raymond Dobbins of Ada and Mrs. Fordyce Adams of Lima.
Funeral services will be held at Ada Methodist church on Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. M. E. Tinsler, pastor, in charge. Burial will be made on Woodlawn cemetery, south of here.
The body was removed to the Lantz and Sousley funeral home here. It will be taken Friday morning to the residence where it will remain until an hour before services, when it will be moved to the church.
