EVELYN R. WINEBRENNER, 82, of rural Columbia City, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011. Survivors include four children, Nick E. Wine-brenner of Tulsa Okla., Steven A. (Cynthia) Wine-brenner of Chur-ubusco, Douglas J. (Karen) Winebrenner of Fort Wayne, and Jody M. Rex of Albion; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Madelyn Walter of Columbia City, Josephine Halter of Fort Wayne, and Betty Pepple of Hicksville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Tyrus A. Winebrenner, and a brother, Harold Phend. Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Merriam Christian Chapel Church, 3985 S U.S. 33, with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. Condolences to www.smithandsonsfuneralhome.com.
