Ruth McQuiston, age 86, passed away, Oct. 31, 2001 in Clinton Utah.
She was born on Sept. 5, 1915, in Bluffdale, Utah to George Frederick Phelps and Zina Mae Butterfield. On June 2, 1943, Ruth married Irvine Homer McQuiston, in Elko Nevada. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a Sunday School teacher for over 35 years, she loved little children. She served as a Temple worker at the Salt Lake Temple for over 30 years. She had a deep love for the Salt Lake Temple. Her favorite saying was; "Families are forever in the sight of our Heavenly Father". She was a very loving, and caring person.
She is survived by her sister, Faye Putnam, Layton, UT; children, Ruth Ann (Don) Harmon, Roy, UT; Joy (Steve) Jacobson, Clearfield, UT; Cora (Larry) McCurdy, Draper, UT; Donna (Jim) Ovenden, Salt Lake City, UT; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grand children. Preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Bertha Faye; and son, Irvin McQuiston.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2001 at 12 Noon at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 S Highland Dr., where friends may call on Sunday from
6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
