Reba E. Brewer,96, of Decatur, IL, was called home to Jesus, Monday, December 10,2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.
Funeral services 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Oak Grove Church of the Nazarene, 1800 W. Garfield Ave. Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek, IL., Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL., will be handling the arrangements.
Reba was born June 16, 1916 in Edgewood, IL., the daughter of Clarence J. and Bertha (Huffman) Peyton. She married Robert Howard Brewer July 8, 1936 in Paris, IL. and he preceded her in death.
Reba was a member of Oak Grove Church of the Nazarene and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She worked for A. E. Staley, Crane Potato Chips, and Walrus Manufacturing.
She is survived by her daughter Mary C (Russell J.) Heitz of Decatur, IL.; beloved daughter-in-law Reva Brewer of Winchester, IN; sister Aileen Meadows of Cocoa Beach, FL; Grandchildren Stephen Heitz of Decatur, IL and Rev. John Robert (Katrina) Brewer of Fountain City, IN; great grandchildren Kayla Heitz, Genna Heitz, Matthew (Marinda) Brewer, Bethany (Tim) Hartley; great-great-grandchildren Lane Hartley, Landen Hartley. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert H. Brewer, son Robert L. Brewer, brothers Gerald, Harold and Ferroid Peyton, sister Dorothy Peyton, and great granddaughter Hannah Brewer.
