Rites Wednesday At Edina For Jennie Gunnell
Jennie Delilah Gunnell, 84, of New York, N. Y., formerly of the Greensburg community, died at 12:30 Saturday morning in a hospital in New York where she had been a patient one week.
Born near Greensburg on Feb. 8, 1887, she was the daughter of John and Lydia Hathaway Pettit. On Nov. 23, 1910 she was married to James Gunnell who preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1921. Also preceding her in death were four brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are one son, James Lynn gunnell of Windsor, Conn,; four grandchildren, Mrs. Roland (Jane Lynn) Monserrett, James Arthur Gunnell, Linda Pearl Gunnell and Gregory Guy Gunnell; five great-grandchildren and one sister, Kathryn Pettit of the Bronx, N. Y.
Mrs. Gunnell lived in Connecticut before moving to New York.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at ten o'clock in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina with the Rev. Barbara Barnett of Edina, officiating. Burial will be in the Greensburg Cemetery.
