TAMPA BAY, Fla. -- Marcella Irene Pettit Craig, 78, of Tampa Bay, Fla., and formerly of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, Oct. 18, at Mariner Health Care Center in Clearwater, Fla.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa, the Rev. Michael Crouch officiating. Interment: Forest Cemetery, Oskaloosa. Visitation begins 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with family present 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Craig was born April 19, 1919, in Albia to Murrell Albert and Blanche Wagner Pettit. She was a 1937 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. On Oct. 12, 1941, she married Bill Raymond Marsh Craig at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He died July 9, 1994. They lived in Oskaloosa until 1983, when they moved to Columbia, Mo. In 1986, they moved to Tampa Bay, Fla. She was a member of Oakhurst United Methodist Church in Seminole, Fla., and a former member of First Christian Church and Christian Women's Fellowship in Oskaloosa. She was a charger member of In His Name King's Daughters Circle, Eastern Star Vega Chapter and Past Worthy Matron and Past Grand Representative for the State of Massachusetts, Women's Club of Oskaloosa and White Shrine in Columbia, Mo. For many years, she had been employed as bookkeeper by Sunstrum's Clothing Store in Oskaloosa.
Survivors include a son: Andrew Drew Craig of Seminole, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband: Bill Craig.
