Grew up in South Jordan and Riverton. Married Ganiel Giles. Divorced. Married Kristi Collester February 23, 2002 in Maui, Hawaii; however legally separated at time of death. A Master craftsman. Own a contracting business. Loved horses. Won 1st place with the Pole Bending Team in the State of Utah. Active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survived children Jared (Tori) Pettit, Shae Berube, Alex (Justin) Ketterer, and Amanda (Ryan) Winterrose, four grandchildren, parents Jerry and Judy Pettit, brothers and sister David (Maria) Pettit, Diana Spainhower, Greg (Jeannie) Pettit, grandparents Newell and Beth Pettit. Predeceased by grandparents Bill and Lydia Graves.
Services in held in Herriman, Utah on Friday, September 14, 2007.
