Death claimed Mr. Anna Petska, ___ resident of the city yesterday. ----- N.
Fourth street. She _______--- in failing health for some time. The funeral
will be held Monday _____ at Evergreen.

RETURNS HERE AFTER 30 YEARS ABSENCE; DEATH
Mrs. Joseph Petska Early Day Resident Buried Here
After an absence of nearly thirty years from Manitowoc, Mrs. Joseph Petska, a
pioneer settler, died a few months after the family's return here last March
and rests in Evergreen cemetery where burial took place Sunday.
Mrs. Petska, nee Anna Frolik, was born near Prague, Bohemia, April 13, 1956,
and came to America when a girl of 11 with her parents, settling in Manitowoc
county. She was married at the age of 20 to Joseph Petska and five children
were born to the union, two of whom preceded her in death. In 1885 the family
removed to Antigo and resided there until 19_3 when they took up their home at
Bolivar, Mo., returning to Manitowoc in March, this year.
For several years, Mrs. Petska has been failing in health, death being due to
diabetes.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Petska is survived by one son, Joseph, Jr., of Tyndall,
S.D., and two daughters, Mrs. Henry Viles and Miss Mayme Petska. Seven grand-
children also survive.
Attending the funeral from out of town were Joseph Petska, of Tyndall, S.D.,
Frank Frolik and __ Rice Lake, James Frolik and family of Grimms, and a sister,
Mrs. J. J. Kramer and husband, of Antigo, Mr. and Mrs. James Kramar of ___,
Mich., and Mrs. Edward Wager, a niece of Rice Lake.
