Mrs. Mozelle Peterson Ballow was born to the late Memory and Nettie Belle Brooks Peterson and spent all of her life in Rusk County. She went to school in Oak Hill in a school building that was originally built on her grandfather's land and was later moved. She was an owner/operator (the Nana) of Nana and Papa's Green House and Coles Flower Mart. Mrs. Ballow was a member of East Side Baptist Church for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: husband, Charles E. Ballow; son, Charles R. "Poochie" Ballow; three sisters and one brother.
