Carrie was the daughter of O. Anderson and Cary Anderson. She immigrated in 1879. Carrie married Charles Peterson on 26 March 1887 in Buena Vista Co, Iowa. They were the parents of John S.


STORM LAKE PILOT TRIBUNE - Dec 27, 1934 - Funeral rites for the late Mrs Charles Peterson, widow of Storm Lake's pioneer ice man, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Fiscus funeral home and at the First Methodist church. Interment was in the Storm Lake cemetery.

Mrs. Petersons death occurred in the hospital at Glen Ellyn, Illinois Sunday evening at eight o'clock. She suffered a stroke a few weeks ago and had since been confined in the hospital.

Mrs. Peterson was a resident of Storm Lake for nearly a half a century. Her late husband, Charles Peterson, was at the head of the Peterson Ice company, now headed by their only child and son, John S. Peterson. In May Mrs. Peterson went to Illinois to make her home with her niece, Mrs. Leon Gridley. She was 72 years of age.

Surviving are the son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs John S Peterson, a grandson, Johnny Pete Peterson and many other relatives. Mr and Mrs Gridley accompanied the body to Storm Lake.
