June 13, 1908 at Galva. She lived with
her parents on a farm in the Galva-
Schaller area receiving her education in
the Schaller Community School system.
She cared for some of the elderly
people of Schaller for many years.
Sophia was a member of St. John
Lutheran Church and was baptized into
the Lutheran Faith in Galva. She was
confirmed in that faith on Sept. 21,1924
at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller.
She married Aksel Fredericksen on
Dec. 22, 1931 in Union City, Tenn.
While Aksel was in the service she
worked in the Schaller Cafe. They lived
and worked on the Mauser farm until
1939 when they moved to Lakeside.
Sophia's hobbies included sewing and
gardening, which she continued to do
after their retirement in 1970.
