She married Russell Crossman on Dec. 1, 1944. They were later sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on May 15, 1976.
Syble loved working with her hands. She enjoyed scrapbooking, embroidery work, and family history and she loved word search puzzles. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings as a Primary worker, Relief Society president, visiting teacher, and Young Women's president. She loved her family and serving others.
She is survived by her children, Melanie (Lonny) Kintner of Belton, Mo., Alan Russell Crossman of San Diego, Calif., and Dennis Blaine (Kathy) Crossman of Yreka, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Fern (Herb) Poteet of Rupert, Idaho, and Raquel (Loyal) Hansen of Preston; as well as numerous nieces and nephews that felt her love for them always. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell; two sisters, Wanda and Josie; two brothers, Joel and Blaine; three brothers-in-law, Carl Mortensen, Spencer Condie and Bill Harris; and one sister-in-law, Constance Peterson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston, Idaho, with President Lynn Bingham conducting. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
She lived a life of dedication to her family and service to those around her. She was charming, compassionate and classy.
