Daughter of Charles and Florence (Bangert) Petersen.
She married Calvin Alderman.
On Oct. 20, 1957, she married Stanton Dowers in Kearney. He died Jan. 20, 1990.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra McFarland of Lexington; grandchildren, Tammie Hinrichs and her husband, Steve, of Kearney and Charles Burkey and his wife, Kelli, and Robyn Lange, all of Lexington; great-grandchildren, Brandie, Hunter, Kris, Jennifer, Jessica, Curtis and Nikkia; great-great-grandchildren, Dylan and Elexa; and sister-in-law, Erma Petersen of Kearney.
She attended Farwell schools through the 10th grade when the family moved to Kearney. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1942. Shortly after graduation, she married Calvin Alderman. She worked at Kearney Laundry and Dry Cleaning and also at Baldwin.
She and Stanton owned and operated Dower Sign Service for a number of years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dog Toby. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Beulah also enjoyed bingo, attending stock car races, collecting dolls and numerous crafts.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, one great-granddaughter, one sister-in-law and one son-in-law.
