Anna Marie was married twice. Son, Peter and dau. Kirsten were from her marriage to Mr. Petersen. Celia, Stena and Petraya were children of Mr. Jacobsen. After Mr. Jacobsen's death, Peter assumed the paternal role and the family name became Petersen; although the 3 girls legally kept their Jacobsen name.
Anna Marie came to America with the three younger girls in 1884. Celia was 8 years of age, Stena was 6 and Petraya was age 4. They went to live with the oldest daughter, Christen, and her husband, J. P. Jensen, at Whiting, Kansas. Christen and J. P. were married in Denmark and came to America soon after. In 1884, they had two daughters, Mary and Anna. Petraya, Mary and Anna would have been close in age.
Sometime in the next 10 years, the family moved to a farm near Hardy, Nebraska.
Anna's son Peter Petersen married Anna Jensen. They had 4 children.
Christen (Kirsten) (Kristen) and J. P. Jensen, had 8 children. Celia (Cecilia) married Martin Olsen. She died a year later.
Stine (Stena) (Katrena) (Kristine) married Martin Olsen following her sister's death. They had 3 children
Petraya married Anton Jensby. They had 7 children.
So, Anna had 22 grandchildren growing up around her.
