WATERBURY — Alfred F. Perugini, 85, died Monday, July 2, 2007, at Saint Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Vera (Marciano) Perugini. Mr. Perugini was born in Waterbury May 2, 1922, son of the late Modesto and Vittoria (Perugini) Perugini. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he served in the Army and Air Force Reserves.
Mr. Perugini was a retired employee of Anaconda Metal Hose. He was a member of the Oakville VFW Post 7330 and the Favale Generali Post 8 in Waterbury. He was active in both posts, holding many leadership positions including commander.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debra Perugini of Waterbury and Monica Jannetty of Prospect; two sisters, Antoinette Guerrera of Waterbury and Linda Stolfi of Wolcott; a grandson, Nicholas Jannetty; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 6, at St. Lucy's Church. Burial with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St., is in charge of arrangements.
