PERSONS, JACK BURDETTE April 15, 1923 to Jan. 20, 2011 Jack passed away peacefully at 3 p.m. January 20, 2011 at Pomerado Hospital with family. He had respiratory failure, anoxic brain injury and kidney failure which lead to arteriosclerotic heart disease. There will be a Memorial service at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery with Military honors at 1 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011. He leaves his wife Geneva of 51 years, the love of his life and, son Gregory, grandson Jack II and granddaughter Harmony, four great-grandchildren, Kylan, Olivia, Ivy and Dilan. A son Chuck deceased in 1963. Jack was born in Wellington, Kansas. He joined the navy in 1942 and served on the USS Crescent City, discharged in 1945. He worked at Motor Machine & Supply as General Manager until 1985 when he retired. He was a Bail Bondman, Hunter and fisherman and loved football and baseball. He was a life member of NRA and Ducks Unlimited. He and Geneva spent many years enjoying time at their place at Rey River Ranch until his health failed.
