* Shirley Mae Burgess, 68, of Pecor Street, Portland, died June 8 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo after a battle with cancer.
She was born in Sardinia on Feb. 15, 1938, the daughter of the late Nelson and Gertrude Perryman. Surviving are her husband, Ronald H. Burgess, whom she married June 30, 1956; five sons, Randy L. Burgess of Fort Plain, Steve W. Burgess of Westfield, Scott A. Burgess of Rock Hill, S.C. and Duane T. Burgess and Darren W. Burgess, both of Brocton; one brother, Clare Perryman of Fredonia; one sister, Marion Hallmark of Dora, Ala.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sunny Perryman; and three sisters, Ruth Gale, Ardy's Bundy and Dorothy Lanski
