Perryman, Elizabeth Thomson “Betty Ann” passed away at home Friday, December 3 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.

A native of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, she attended Aliceville High School and the University of Alabama. She moved to Montgomery in March 1955 where she lived most of her adult life. She retired from Blount International, Ltd. in 1993 and moved to Destin, Florida in 1999.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Perryman; parents, William J. Thomson, Sr. and Attie Bell Thomson; and brothers, William J. Thomson, Jr., Richard R. Thomson and Bailey Thomson.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Perryman Oswalt (Greg) and granddaughters Caroline and Emily Oswalt of Destin.

Other survivors include her sister Rebecca Lee Jordan (Roy) of Demopolis, AL; brothers Kimbrell A. Thomson (Nancy) of Batesville, MS; Thomas B. Thomson (Billie Sue) of Macon, GA; and James M. Thomson (Cornelia) of Newnan, GA. She is also survived by her aunt, Zelda Thomson Anderson, and uncle, Fuller Kimbrell of Northport, AL.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 6 at 2 PM at Destin United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Destin United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice, the staff of Emerald Coast Cancer Center and caregiver Sue McCaulley.
