BURIAL: Llano Cemetery East by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo, TX

Erma J. Austin was born December 9, 1933 to her loving parents William & Corine Perry in Mangum, OK. Erma attended Blessed Martin Catholic School in her early years and was a member of the Class of 1954 of Carver High School. Erma married her high school sweetheart, John A. Austin, November 18, 1953. Four children was born from this union. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was employed by Pioneer Gas Company. Erma was a superb and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be missed greatly. She also will leave behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends that loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John in 1987 and her siblings, Adolphus Eddington, Flora Mae Gore, Stevie Perry and Cerretha Woods.

Survivors: three daughters; Angela Austin of Los Angeles, Jelaine O'Neal and Kimberly Austin, both of Chicago, IL, one son; Ronald Austin of Amarillo, a sister; Edna Foster of Carson, CA, a brother-on-law; Gary Woods of Carson, CA,,, a sister-in-law: Bernice Perry of Washington, DC, Five Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild.

Erma J. Austin, 79, of Amarillo died Friday, June 14, 2013.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Mount of Blessings Seventh Day Adventists 1600 North Bivins with Pastor Stiggers officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo, TX.
