Mildred Anetta Holt, 101, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Thompson Falls, Mont., Cemetery.

Mildred was born on Aug. 30, 1912, in Calvin, N.D., the second of eight children born to Mason and Eva Perry. She grew up and attended schools in Montana and North Dakota. During her teenage years and the Great Depression years she would live and work with other families cooking and cleaning.

Mildred married Lewellyn Fleisher on Nov. 23, 1938, in Staples, Minn., and they had four children. He died in 1944 of stomach cancer. Mildred then moved to Thompson Falls, Mont., where her parents lived.

She worked at Gambles in Thompson Falls for 25 years, where she met Frank Holt when he came in to purchase a pair of gloves. They married on Nov. 24, 1954. Mildred retired from Gambles in 1977 at the age of 65.

Mildred attended the Congregational Church in Thompson Falls and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mt. Silcox Chapter No. 111. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed hiking, boating, and playing pinochle. She and Frank enjoyed traveling and visiting family in their retirement years. Frank passed away in 1998.

She is survived by her son, two daughters, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two step-sons, and a sister [survivors names omitted].

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a son, Donald Fleisher; a grandson, Keith Rockwell; three step-sons, David, Jack and Sherman Holt; three sisters, Ruth, Rena and Eva; and three brothers, Harlan, Harvey, and Alfred.
