Philander Perkins died December 21st at his home in this city after an illness of some time with tuberculosis. Mr. Perkins was sixty-seven years of age. He was a native of Ohio and had been a resident of this county for many years. For a long period he resided in the town of Richland but for the past several years had made his home in Richland Center. He was a man well known and highly respected. Funeral services were held Sunday from the Pratt undertaking parlors. Services were conducted by the I.O.O.F. [Independent Order of Odd Fellows], of which Mr. Perkins was an honored member. Burial was made in the Bowens Mills cemetery.
