CLOVIS, N.M. - Celia Garcia, 87, died Monday, May 19, 1997. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe by the Rev. Daniel M. Balizan. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Garcia was born in Dilia. She married Natividad Garcia in 1933 at Dilia. They moved to Clovis in 1945. Mr. Garcia died in 1975. She also was preceded in death by a son, Natividad Jr., in 1962. She was a cook for The Silver Grill and El Monterrey. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community. Survivors include three sons, Andrew Garcia and O.T. Garcia, both of Clovis, and Blaise Garcia of Truth or Consequences; three daughters, Minnie Gauna, Gloria Sanchez and Martha Chavez, all of Clovis; a brother, Willie Perea of Wilmington, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
