OCALA- Mr. Norman L. Pepin went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 03, 2009. Mr. Pepin was a member of the Florida Southern Baptist Disaster Relief team and the Marion County Disaster Relief Team. He served three different times in New York during the 911 tragedy. Norman was a proud veteran of WWII. He was a member at the First Baptist Church of Ocala and served as an usher there. He also worked in the church kitchen for "Forever Young". Norman is predeceased by his son, William Pepin, in 1978, and siblings, George and Hector Pepin of Lunenburg, MA, Rita Varney of Fitchburg, MA, and Claire Brown of Holly Hill, FL. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by those who survive him, including his loving wife of 49 years, Mary (Hastings) Pepin of Ocala; daughter, Wendy Carlisle of Fitchburg, MA; grandson, Corey Lancey of Leominster, MA and grandson, Brandon Lancey, granddaughter, Holly Carlisle and great grandson, Cameron Carlisle, all of Fitchburg, MA. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Ocala on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Phillip Hanes officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Ocala, 2801 SE Maricamp Rd, Ocala, FL 34471. Arrangements are under the care of ROBERTS FUNERAL HOMES DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. 352-622-4141.
