QUEENSBURY - Thelma R. Bovair, 91, of the Adirondack Manor Adult Home, Bay Road, Queensbury and formerly of Lockhart Mountain Road, Lake George, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at Albany Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

Born April 14, 1919, in Rome, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Romie and Rhoda (Sipley) Pepin.

Thelma received her education in Rome, N.Y. During her years in this area she worked at Glens Falls Hospital as a housekeeper and later as a sitter.

Her family noted she was loved by all. In addition to crocheting, knitting, reading her Bible, and spending time with loved ones, Thelma enjoyed sitting on the front porch in nice weather listening to the wind blow.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Israel, and their children, Rhoda, David, and Bryan; also her brother, Alan; and her stepmother, Beulah.

Survivors include her children: Peter (Jackie) Bovair of Lake George, Roland (Ronnie) Bovair of Queensbury, and Barbara (Keith) Evans of Independence, Ky.; her grandchildren: Tiffany (Todd) Tucker, Peter J. Bovair, Sue Dean, Ted Bovair, Jason (Danielle) Bovair, Garrett Bovair, David (Carole) Evans, Kim Rollo, Meghan Evans and her fiancÚ, Tim Jung, Joe (Sonya) Evans and Chris Evans; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Vivian Bovair.

Friends may call on the family from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.

Funeral services will follow the calling hours at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Julie McPartlin, pastor of St. James Episcopal Church, Lake George, officiating.

Burial will take place at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Road, Queensbury.

A private family gathering is planned, at the convenience of the family, to honor Thelma's memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Thelma, may be made to the Susan B. Koman Breast Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265.

Her family wanted to express special thanks to the staff of Adirondack Manor for their care of Thelma.
