FARMINGTON -- Hazel Ina Pense Thurman Engler, 84, of Farmington died Nov. 21, 2007, at the Fayetteville City Hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Winslow, the daughter of Rufus F. and Rose Ella Reed Pense.
She was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church and worked at the University of Arkansas for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dempsey Thurman and John Wesley Engler.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Thurman of Fayetteville; two daughters Carol Ryan of Farmington and Joyce Collins of Westville, Okla.; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren;
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Luginbuel Chapel of Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steven Shelley, Michael Collins, Scottie Thurman, Cody Bookout, Ethan Bookout, and Andrew Shelley. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Dodd, Aaron Dodd, and Taylor Collins.
