ACRES, RUBY D. - 56, of Oneida, passed away in the Scott County Hospital, Tuesday, October 30, after an illness of one year. She was the daughter of EMMA PENNINGTON and the late BILL PENNINGTON, a member of the Pentecost Baptist Church. Survivors, husband, CLARENCE ACRES of Oneida, two sons, DELMAS ACRES of Oneida and HOMER ACRES of Muncie, Indiana. Mother EMMA PENNINGTON of Oneida, three brothers, CANEY PENNINGTON of New Haven, Mich., ELBERT and VIRGIL PENNINGTON both of Oneida, sister EFFIE PENNINGTON of Oneida, four grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Pentecost Baptist Church 2 p.m. Friday, November 2nd, with Rev. JAMES LAXTON officiating. Burial in the Pennington Family Cemetery.
