Bonnie M. Davis, 85, Roachdale, died Monday at Ben Hur Nursing Home.

Born Sept. 7, 1916 in Overton County, Tenn., she was the daughter of David and Ida (McClaine) Pennington.

A homemaker, she had worked in a shirt factory in Tennessee for several years and was also formerly employed at Wilson Green-house at Raccoon.

She married Shirley H. Davis on July 15, 1934 at Albany, Ky. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, David Davis, Roachdale; a daughter, Jean Hanlon, Georgia; three brothers, Thomas Pennington, Crawfordsville, Elbert Pennington, Livingstone, Tenn., and Delbert Pennington, Fishers; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sons, Bronzell, Alvin, Arvis and Durrell Davis; and a sister, Vernie Pennington.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, Roachdale, with burial in Roachdale Cemetery.
